October hasn’t spared us, bringing in wave after wave of new Metal music that feeds both ears and soul. The relentlessness of these epics continues with Orden Ogan and their newest video for “December” off the upcoming album Final Days: Orden Ogan and Friends that debuted October 21st, 2022 via AFM Records.

Orden Ogan singer Seeb states: “‘Final Days’ is a record about various scenarios how the world could end. ‘December’ is a song about a genetically modified killer virus that was somehow released and kills (almost?) every human being on planet earth, while civilizations and societies collapse. The song was written in 2019, long before the Corona Pandemic started. We decided to not put this track on the album out of respect for the victims of the pandemic. Now the world looks different than in 2020. We felt it was about time to finally release the track. Enjoy!

This track has all the foundations of Orden Ogan at its core, with “The Things We Believe In” holding a stone cold vibe to the environment laid out in the video. A post-apocalyptic wasteland left rotting in ash and snow, with what remains of its people little more than shadows on gray skies. “Fake News” is a harsh line, as lyrics that center around the beginning of the pandemic from its ‘release’ to ‘design’ linger long after they’re sung yet, still move through us even today.

Another life fades right before your eyes. Another day we’re trying to survive,” strike deep; reminiscent of the long lockdowns, and harsh curfews many countries had to face in order to survive one way or another. “You know this is our last December,” that follows rings truer than ever thought imaginable – a world of ‘normalcy’ that we once knew shattered and taken from us in mere moments. Disappearances. Words cut out. The empty city streets and abandonment, and the world we were forced to leave behind.
