Melodic Metal powerhouse, Serenity marks an exceptional return with Napalm Records with their passionate new single “In The Name of Scotland” shortly before kicking off the highly anticipated Symphonic Power Alliance Tour on April 6th.

SERENITY on the new song: “We are happy to finally be able to go on tour again and would like to introduce you to our new single “In the Name of Scotland”. The song is about the Scottish freedom fighter Robert the Bruce. A song that unfortunately couldn’t be more up to date currently. “

Throughout the last two decades Serenity has made a name for themselves touring with bands like Kamelot, Within Temptation, and Delain, bringing audience energy levels to new heights. They were awarded the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in 2017, and with their album ‘The Last Knight’ (2020), gathered strikingly high chart ratings in both Austria and Germany alike.

The gentle acoustics that serenade us into this historical homage are absolutely stunning. Georg Neuhauser really utilizes his vocal capabilities to bring us a tranquil performance that could bring an audience to tears. The scenery depicted, combined with the emotional display of our main character, makes for a ballad that’s worthy of any motion picture soundtrack.

The careful blend of acoustic guitars and shallow drums keep the emotion high, adding to the atmosphere of sadness and determination through not out-doing its splendor. The guitar solo that brings the beginning of the end is one that’s beautiful but, not overbearingly metal so we’re not pulled from the immersive nature of this wondrous track.
