Like the caw from death lining the gallows, melodic death metal force, Ravenmocker, emerges with their debut single “Infallible“. Rising from Southern California, and formed in 2025 by guitarist and vocalist Tom Tierney, Ravenmocker derives their inspiration from inner disorder, creative resurgence, and a drive to sculpt a mesmerizing identity deeply rooted in Native American lore.

Accompanied by guitarist George Patmas (ex-Dianthus), drummer Dylan Suierveld (Levinia), and bassist Will Buckley (Levinia, Anubis), the band’s rapid development of evocative yet cleansing sound makes them a path-forger in a world plunged into technological copycats. Influenced by metal greats like Children of Bodom, Insomnium, Amon Amarth, Kalmah, and Dark Tranquility, each band member has their own inspirations at their disposal with passion pulling from genres like jazz fusion, blues, funk, country, and even classical choral.
A collaborative and dynamic bunch, Ravenmocker pulls the same energy into their writing process, pouring out emotional honesty and experience into every creation. While Tierney leads much of the songwriting, each member contributes ideas, arrangements, inspirations, and refining touches.
“We want to write good songs, not just content. These songs were years in the making. The melodies should stick with you. We want people singing with us at shows. We want to give fans something they can feel together,” adds Tierney.

“Infallible” is not only the band’s first single, but a representation of the moment everything changed for Tierney. It is the song that pushed him to go beyond a project he’d lingered on for five years, and fully commit himself to building Ravenmocker‘s legacy.
“‘Infallible’ was the turning point. It came from a place in my life that was harming me more than helping me. The guys immediately heard the potential, and it became the first song we worked on. A small clip online hit over 75,000 views, and that connection really showed us this was the right direction. This song started it all,” explains Tierney.
A tale revolving around a man who has lingered in darkness for far too long, “Infallible” is the turning point for this man; his decision to sacrifice everything to a single entity who reciprocates nothingness.
“Now here we are at a thousand roads as simple as it seems. I told you once and I told you twice that you tried putting out my dreams.”
This track encapsulates the man’s moment of wakefulness, his realization to step away and choose a path that allows him to thrive rather than struggle.
“I did my time-painted in shadows”
Instrumentals give this song an unwavering energy. Though lyrically cold, and raw, there is still a hint of fight in its depths. However, the fated dual of grasping new opportunity, while carrying the comforts of bitterness and anger tunes this track to another level. There is inner fight and reflection, turmoil and consequence, yet a light at the end of the tunnel, one still within his grasp.
“So kill the past and we start again. Sorrow is no more a friend.”
The artwork for this single also mirrors its theme: A single figure stands against the ruins of a shattered city, surrounded by crumbling towers and teetering structures. Amid the devastation, a single raven statue remains, its wings spread in defiance, symbolizing not only resilience, but rebirth, and the bravery needed to return from ashes once left to smolder.

Ravenmocker will introduce themselves in 2026 to the metal community across the globe with their debut singles “Infallible” and “Where the Raven Flies,” leading up to the release of their first EP.
