The Death of Zenith is “Waking Up” with a new album on the horizon

Date: January 18, 2025Author: Valkyrjia 0 Comments

Breaking into 2025 Solunar Records is proud to announce the forthcoming self-titled album from The Death of Zenith a post-genre music artist known for his ever-broadening fusion of heavy and experimental styles. Originally formed to steer the Overnight film and soundtrack, The Death of Zenith has evolved beyond the limits set upon him, becoming an artist, producer, collaborator and much more. Utilizing his talents in beat-making, vocals, and instrumentals, he constantly yearns for exploration and expression with every creative mood.

Set for release in late 2025, the new self-titled album will expand The Death of Zenith’s exploration of metal, industrial, trap-metal, my metal, groove metal,  underground hip hop, EDM, and more. Further structuring on the dynamic collaborations from the Overnight soundtrack, which featured artists such as Seethe, Ritual of Ether, Sam Astaroth, and Skeptik, this record promises even greater depth and musical diversity. Returning artists Seethe, Sam Astaroth, and Skeptik are joined by members of Skies of Terra, REVillusion, Six Scars/Killbite Overdose, Ocean Encounters and Silhouette Death for a truly progressive and genre-fused album.

Thematically, the album dives into powerful topics like individuation, reclaiming personal strength after trauma and betrayal, and embracing one’s full potential. These themes are showcased in the album’s lead single, “Mine”, released in August 2024. Featuring vocals from Lola Didier of Ocean Encounters and Seethe, the track explores the journey of self-actualization by blending elements of nu-metal and trap-metal into harmonious expression.

Following the success of “Mine,” the second single, “Waking Up”, dropped on January 10th, 2025. This track features a three-vocalist collaboration with Skeptik and The Antihero, exploring the album’s narrative of breaking free from toxic relationships and dire situations. The track is a heavy-hitting praise of self-empowerment, combining metal, industrial, and underground hip hop into a magnificent aural experience.

This track’s intriguing blend of vocals ride on an itch of adrenaline. The yearning and waiting, the exploration of sound and emotion as we contemplate our decisions and consequences before us. It focuses on self-love, strength, and endurance, pulling the beat into the background to showcase the vocals that emphasize lying, manipulation, and conflict. It’s interesting and steady in its melody, making it an easy listen with bits of heaviness and rhythm that moves this track from mellow to unhinged as it explores the inner turmoil many of us can relate to.

As a collaboration-based project, The Death of Zenith dares to challenge genre expectations, creating a sound and experience that is both unique and heavily rooted in the underground music scene. Fans of metal, industrial, hip hop, and edm music can look forward to more releases leading up to the full album drop in late 2025.
