Silhouette Death returns with unparalleled expression

Date: October 5, 2024Author: Valkyrjia 0 Comments

The Crypt-Keeper and mastermind of Silhouette Death, DeadDreamz, returns from the shadows, but this time he’s not alone.

Mentor and good friend Jason Neil from the heavy metal band Mind Incision joins the ranks to deliver a vast departure from the previously released GALVANIC.

SILHOUETTE DEATH X SINN combines vicious gutturals, and spine-snapping riffage for two tracks that bring influence of nu-metal, bludgeoning deathcore, infectious groove, and mind-melting noise distortion. Electronics sit in the fade, making way for the display of pure, unfiltered Metal madness.

With honour to influences of EDM in GALVANIC, SD x SINN return to the heated, metal-molded terrain that previous albums saw in full force.

With Jason Neil’s accompanying vocals adding nods of change and exploration, this is Silhouette Death performing top tier Heavy Metal greatness.

“Fragmented Memories” comes in with torrential power. It’s menacing, with a lingering note that really hammers on the mind before the vocals slide in on weighted pleasure. The heavy melody combined with the guttural lyrics are downright vicious. The equips of noise, like lingering live wires, spread like disease. Itching. Scratching. Feasting upon us at it grinds ever deeper in our veins. I adore the unyielding madness and the temptation that goes indulged in experimenting with Metal’s rooted heaviness and its ever progressive sound.

Silhouette Death unveils a touch of classic Heavy Metal riffage on “Withering Affliction”. Vocals come in clear and strong, with harsh undertones that add a brutal touch to this wicked track.  The perfectly executed screams are timed so well that they provide a perfect break and still hold fluid intensity. The transition from clears to gutturals on this track are wild, like the shift from surprise to rage in a mere instant. Once again, there’s touches of curious noise on this steady track; the perfect ode to Silhouette Death’s own unique form as it dances on electric flashes and flair.

It’s a brief but bright homage to the constant progression that Silhouette Death has dedicated themselves to. The artistry, the craftsmanship, and the skill are twisted, molded, bent, and experimented with again and again to consistently bring us unique yet familiar tastes that leave us always thirsting for more.
