The Hour of the Demon strikes with Sam Astaroth’s heaviest hit to date!

Date: September 19, 2024Author: Valkyrjia 1 Comment

Blackened Deathcore at its finest!

While this song may comes at your face like a rabid animal, this track takes essence from symphonics while adding a delectable offering of gut-wrenching breakdowns, rigid death metal riff-work, wild blast beats, menacing black metal sound, blistering double bass and so much more!

Once more, Sam Astaroth arises to truly cover it all on “Hour of the Demon“, using his genre-bending power to truly encapsulate music mastery in all his Demonic glory. Switching vocals 32 times in under 5-minutes, there are movements from classic death metal growls to frightening black metal cries with those added gutturals to really bring it all together.

This ain’t your grandma’s breakdown! While this track pays homage to the influences that have inspired Sam’s style, our resident Astaroth adds touches of ghostly gothic cleans, rap-style screams, underground trap scripture, and those rough grindcore pulls that only add excitement to the blood-bath of this melody.

Raining blood from the get-go, the double kicks of this track’s introduction immediately introduce to just how brutal this song will be. But the expectations are only exceeded from there. The signature “blegh!” that drops is just icing on the cake with this enigmatic and alluring track that tickles all the senses like an asylum-basement lobotomy.

“Fly throughout the sky and rain down dragon’s wrath” goes so bloody hard you can vividly see the sky ablaze with vibrant orange flames.

To further captivate how maddening this track truly is, there’s an official live video that masterfully displays Sam’s abilities and skill set. His dedication in performing a chaotic yet mesmerizing ritual, whilst still belting out vocal shifts without flaw is mind-boggling. You can see the passion in his expressions, the heaviness of his body as he moves across the stage and leaves nothing to linger.

My admiration for this demon’s dedication and fury for all that he does is only increased with each passing performance, and musical release. From violent breakdowns to exquisite lyrics and so much more, Sam truly embraces what it means to be an Artist, selling off his very soul for the beauty and brutality of music.
