783punx welcomes UK punk-rockers RETSU

Date: May 14, 2024Author: Valkyrjia 0 Comments

From the foggy north of England, your newest hardcore punk hyper-fixation RETSU features members from DOOM, TCCL, THE MASOCHISTS, and Extinction of Mankind. The band has recently shared their first single titled “Lessons In Self-Destruction” featured on their upcoming self-titled album coming in a couple months.

RETSU began late in 2022 with Scoot (guitar) and Alex (drums) taking up jam sessions but never really vibing until siblings Beatrice (vocals), and Sam (bass) joined in early 2023. With a fascination for noise and escaping the hell-scape of reality whenever possible, the former members of Mammoth Tank, Hellkrusher, Alehammer, and more have emerged to share their love of noise in the heavy, hardcore punk community.

“Lessons In Self-Destruction” jumps off the stage and into your face after a ceremoniously classic introduction. The noisy guitar that lingers, just in-time for the drums to kick off the symphony of chaos rides on killer vocals and a thick bass-line that keeps the shift of noise from moving into calamity.

It’s a quick track at just under 3-minutes, but one that’s fun, bouncy and filled with flavour! 783punx knew what they were getting into, latching onto this head-banging sensation, and in a few short months we’ll see what else they have to offer!

Check out RETSU via their socials to stay up-to-date on the upcoming album and more!
