Symphonic Metallers Exit Eden weave wonders with their new single “Run!” feat. Marko Hietala

Date: October 28, 2023Author: Valkyrjia 0 Comments

A wealth of unknowns, buried in secret and sand, amass in a world painted by a triple threat. Wonder and curiosity fill the senses, strangely dampening the whys and hows of where it all began until emerged, is Exit Eden.

Combining the vocal prowess of the dynamic Marina La Torraca, Anna Brunner (League of Distortion), and Clementine Delauney (Visions of Atlantis), Exit Eden became known as a trio of excellence; bringing in confidence, independence, and absolution with their incredible sound.

Debuting their first original track, “Run!” the trio embraces a mixture of folk and metal, utilizing each vocal talent’s full ability to make for a unique and entrancing sound. Joined by the guest vocals of Marko Hietala (ex-Nightwish), there is a new layer of vocal intrigue, and a contrast to the delicacies with a masking desperation.

Weaving threads of fate like the ancient Norns, or fabled Greeks, man stumbles upon his destiny, one from which he has run for far too long.

With a beautiful backdrop and mesmerizing wardrobe, this song not only ensnares the ears but the eyes as well with its stunning new music video.

EXIT EDEN state: “We are back and very excited to re-introduce EXIT EDEN, starting with the single ‘Run!’ – our very first original song ever. It features the legendary Marko Hietala (ex-Nightwish), and we couldn’t be more honored! This is only one of the many facets of our new album, ‘Femmes Fatales’, and we can’t wait to share all of them with you.“

My favourite line has to go to “scarlet skies obsess your path, once you’ve gone away you can not come back.” It’s both horrifying and mysterious, as if plagued by consequence we face the choice to flee rather than confront.

It’s a song that I quickly hit replay on because the sound was so familiar, as to no surprise with my love of Symphonic Metal, but it was also varying which gave me joy. The breakdown has an essence of Nightwish‘s “The Poet and The Pendulum” to it that was completely surprising, and absolutely delightful with its weighty drums and bolstering guitar work. And between the beautiful visuals and story, the song is perfectly seated, giving us heaviness, alluring pause, and unrivaled power.

Having previously come up, covering classics like Bonnie Tyler‘s “Total Eclipse of the Heart“, Madonna‘s “Frozen“, and popular titles like Lady Gaga‘s “Paparazzi” and Rihanna‘s “Unfaithful“, Exit Eden has now scorched out a new path on their blazing journey.

Their upcoming album, fittingly titled Femmes Fatales is set to release on January 12th, 2024 via Napalm Records and will feature 6 cover songs, alongside their own, original tracks.

You can pre-order your own copy via the Napalm Records store. And don’t forget to follow the band on all their socials including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube to stay up-to-date on news, concert announcements, and more!
